What business software in Oman has to handle

Imported systems are usually built for other markets and then adjusted. Software written for an Omani company can get these points right from the start.

  • Arabic and English for every user. Staff and customers each work in their own language, with right-to-left screens and Arabic invoices, contracts and reports.
  • Omani rial to three decimals. Every calculation, export and report keeps baisa correct, with no rounding to two places.
  • 5% VAT. Oman's standard VAT rate is 5% (Oman Tax Authority), so invoices carry the tax line, your VAT number and totals your accountant can reconcile.
  • E-invoicing. The Oman Tax Authority is introducing electronic invoicing, called Fawtara, in phases that start with selected large taxpayers and later reach all VAT-registered businesses. Invoices will pass through accredited service providers, so a system that issues invoices should keep clean, structured invoice data and be ready to connect.
  • Online payments. Rent, fees and bookings can be paid by Omani cards through a local gateway. See our guide to payment gateways in Oman.
  • The Sunday to Thursday week. Reminders, approvals, deadlines and reports follow the Omani working week.
  • WhatsApp. Notifications and approvals reach people on the channel they already use.

Software we build for Omani companies

We build in TypeScript, Next.js and Postgres, and our own products run on the same stack: real estate management, HOA management and maintenance management, each on web, iOS and Android.

  • Portals where customers, tenants, partners or staff log in to see and do what they need.
  • Dashboards that pull live numbers from every system you use.
  • Business systems for bookings, work orders, approvals and inventory, shaped around your process.
  • SaaS products with billing, roles and onboarding, ready to sell.
  • APIs and integrations with ERP, CRM and accounting tools.
  • Replacements for spreadsheets and legacy tools, moved over without stopping the business.
  • Companion mobile apps for iOS and Android and AI automation on WhatsApp on top of the same data.

Custom software, off-the-shelf SaaS or spreadsheets

Building is not always the right answer. Buy standard tools for standard jobs, and build where the process is your own.

How a software project runs

The timeline depends on the scope and is agreed with the price after discovery. From the first week of build you see working software, not status reports.

  1. Discovery

We map the process, users, data and integrations. You receive a fixed price in OMR and a timeline.

  2. Design

Screens and a clickable prototype in English and Arabic.

  3. Build

A working release every week, shown to you in a demo, with the plan adjusted together.

  4. Integrations and data

Connections to your existing systems and data moved from spreadsheets or the old tool.

  5. Testing and training

Real users try real cases before launch.

  6. Launch and handover

The system goes live on Vercel, AWS or your own cloud, and the code and accounts are in your name.

  7. Care

Monitoring, maintenance and new features on a monthly plan.

( FAQ )

Common questions.

How much does custom software cost in Oman?

We do not publish software prices, because the scope differs on every project. You get a fixed price in Omani rial after a short discovery call. The price depends on the number of user roles and workflows, the screens and reports, integrations with other systems, data migration, languages and hosting.

How long does a software project take?

It depends on the scope, and the timeline is agreed with the fixed price after discovery. We release working software every week, so you can use and test it long before the final launch.

Do you build web applications and portals?

Yes. Most of the software we build in Oman is a web application: customer portals, booking and order systems, internal dashboards and SaaS products that run in the browser, with a mobile app added when field teams or customers need one. We are a web application development company in Muscat, so the same team designs, builds and hosts it.

Do we own the source code?

Yes. You own the source code and the accounts it runs on, so you are never tied to us.

Can you connect to our ERP or accounting system?

Yes. We integrate with ERPs, CRMs, accounting tools and legacy databases through their APIs or direct connections.

Can the system work in Arabic?

Yes. Screens, emails, PDFs and reports can run in Arabic and English, with right-to-left layouts designed in from the start.

When does custom software make sense?

When the process is central to your business and no off-the-shelf tool fits it well, or when you plan to sell the software as a product. For standard jobs such as accounting, buying is usually better. Our checklist for choosing a development company in Oman lists what to ask before you sign.

Do you support the software after launch?

Yes. We offer monitoring, maintenance and feature development on a monthly plan.
